Terms of Use

These terms cover the use of this website. The terms of a stay are a separate matter: they are given when a room is confirmed and do not appear here, because no room can be booked on this site.

Adults only

Parts of this site describe gaming on the hotel's second floor. Polish law sets the legal age at 18 and we apply it on the premises without exception, with photo identification checked at the door on every visit. By reading those pages you confirm you are 18 or over. The hotel itself takes guests of any age; the second floor does not.

No gambling is offered on this website

Nothing on these pages is a game, a wager or an offer to take one. The site has no play-for-fun mode, demo or software to download, and it processes no account, deposit, withdrawal or payment of any kind. Bets by email or telephone are not accepted either. Everything described happens in one room at one address, in person. A site that appears to offer our gaming online is not operated by us, and we would like to hear about it.

Accuracy, and the absence of an offer

We keep the pages current, but we still get things wrong. Hours change, a room is taken out of service, a dish leaves the menu, the cellar closes for a day. Nothing written here is a contractual offer or a guarantee of availability, and no prices appear on this site. Confirmation comes from reception, in writing, for your dates.

Intellectual property

The text, the layout, the stylesheet and the drawn mark belong to the hotel. You may read the site, print pages, and quote from it with a credit and a link. You may not republish it wholesale, present it as your own, or scrape it to generate a competing page. As for the photographs, each is used under a CC0 or public domain dedication, and you are free to use them too, from their own sources.

This site links only to its own pages. If that changes, an outbound link will be an ordinary link and carry no endorsement, and we will not be answerable for what sits at the other end of it.

Conduct on the property

The building is old, the stairs are steep and the floors are uneven. Please use the handrails, keep children with you and heed the warnings about the attic stair and the cellar stair. Staff may refuse service or ask anyone to leave, on the gaming floor or anywhere else, where someone is intoxicated, aggressive, cannot show proof of age, or is interfering with other guests. On the second floor the duty manager's decision is final and is not negotiated at the door.

Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site up at all times but cannot promise it. It may be unavailable for maintenance, a hosting fault, or reasons outside our control. Nothing here is time-critical, and if you need an answer the telephone at reception is staffed 24 hours.

Liability

We are liable for damage caused deliberately or by our own gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health, to the extent Polish law provides. Beyond that we do not accept liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website, from reliance on information that has since changed, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.

Governing law

These terms and this website are governed by Polish law. The courts with jurisdiction over Toruń are competent, and if you are a consumer, the protective rules of your own country of residence still apply to you.
